Last Day of Blog Tour

The Blog Tour is on its last day and I want to thank Sheryl for putting it together, thanks to all who participated, and thank you to everyone who visited. This was such a learning experience for me, and I just want to say that you all can do this. I learned how to upload and attach a link and how to upload pictures from my camera. The frustration level was high but so was the sense of accomplishment when it was done and it worked.

Now on to the fun part. My DH and I visited Vegas a few years ago and I’ve finally got around to scraping the pages. Due to technical difficulties (that frustration level again) you’ll only see the one page but I thought it turned out well. I had ordered the sets Card Games and Game Night
(cat pg. 121) for family game night pictures but had never used them. When I got to the Vegas pictures they were a natural fit. Hope you all enjoyed the blog tour and please visit me again.

Have a wonderful day--Linda

Make and take

Here is the card I made for the make and takes at the Great Scrapbook Event in Warren this last weekend, I hope you like it. Most everything I used is featured in the occasions mini catalog.

Using a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla card stock I ran it through the big shot on the Friend Textured Plate (Cat. pg. 195 114531 $9.95). then using my sponge dauber and Pretty in Pink ink I went over the words to highlight them. I took the bird punch (117191 $15.95 Occasions Mini pg. 10) and the specialty DP Sending Love (Mini-pg.13 117153 $11.95)I punched out the bird and the branches. I mounted them on a piece of 3 x 2 1/4 Very Vanilla and monted that to a 3 1/4 x 2 1/2 piece of Old Olive card stock. Then I mounted everything to a Certainly Celery card base. Making a bow from the whisper white Organza Ribbon and attaching with a pop up dot my card was done.

Everyone seemed to really like it and it really showcased the big shot and the punch.
Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Blog Tour

If you are new to the blog tour concept as I was until this month it involves everyone linking a blog to their blog and you do a round robin thing until you end up at the original blog again. Please hit the link to the side of the page for Karla's blog or the address here. Enjoy! http://www.karlasstampnscrap.com

Weddings

Good Morning,
Wow I think we are back to winter this morning after a week of spring.
There is so much going on. And as we all know spring meens the wedding season is upon us. So here is the first card I'm posting today. I know i told you it was going to be the make and take from the show this weekend but I fell in love with this one cause I thought it turned out so beautifully. I hope you can see the detail. Using the big shot and the textured plate from the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 (114512 11.95)I ran the Whisper White paper through the big shot, attached the two gold rings to the flower, pop dotted the flower to the card front and stamped "Congratulations" on the bottom with bashful blue ink. I thought it turned out really nice.

Pegs birthday

Hi Again,
I wanted to share this card with you. I’m out in Holland for my best friends’ birthday and this is the card I made for her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEG!!!

This was made using the “Great Friend” stamp set (113792-17.95). I stamped the butterflies on Whisper White (3 1/4x 4 ½) using “Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede stamp pads. Stamping the leaves along the side I attached the whisper white. Using a scrap of “whisper white” I stamped another butterfly and cut it out. I stamped the saying on another scrap and cut it out, adhered it to the card, and then pop dotted the other butterfly. 5 minute card

Hey everyone,
I started this blog so I could show everyone what I was working on and then I haven’t posted anything to it for three weeks even though I’ve been cardmaking like crazy.

You know how you’d love to send someone a homemade card but you have like ten minutes to get it in the mail. This one can be made in five. I love this set because it is good for just about anything. This is very simple (as I said a five minute card) but I love the colors. Using the Night of Navy stamp pad I stamped the flowers and the thank you from the “Upsy Daisy” set (111710-18.95) on “Bashful Blue” paper and then framed it on the “Night of Navy” card stock. Adhere it together, place it on your card front, this card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 “Confetti White” card stock. Put a message or write a note inside and your done. Hope you like it as much as I do.

I do have some new things on the website so please check that out also. Thanks for looking and I will have more tomorrow. You can order any of these by simply clicking on my Order Online button.
